Ringneck Pheasant

Ringneck Pheasant I remember when I was growing up I would see pheasants all the time. I would take a short cut through the field and be deep in thought and the dang bird would fly up in front of me bringing me back to reality. Now you hardly see them at all, I guess there could be several reasons. One would be ring neck pheasants are a non-native species to the United States, along with the fact they removed the bounty from killing certain hawks. Even though they are a non-native species they are fun to photograph and a beautiful creature to look at.
