Bald eagles who have finally left the nest are fun to watch. I was photographing bald eagles fishing when I heard this loud crashing noise behind me. When I turned around to see what the noise was, there sat this guy. He was all disarrayed in a low brushy
type tree trying to figure out what just happened to him. The problem was he landed in a tree that wasn't strong enough to support his weight along with very inept landing skills. I waited until he regained his composure and took this shot. I really could not
believe how close he was, if he were any closer it would have been to close for my lens. During the past few weeks there has been sightings of several juveniles at Middlecreek WMA, along with several adults as well. If you have never seen a bald eagle in
the wild here is a great opportunity to do so.

Young Bald Eagle
