Snapper

I had always thought that snapping turtles like to or do eat a lot of baby ducks. After doing some research I have found that there is another culprit, the great blue heron. The snapping turtle in the photo was huge in fact he was taking his half out of the middle of the road when I took this image. I would guess he weighed around fifty pounds and could proably eat a smart car if the opportunity presented itself.
